Job Title: RN – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Location: Oakland, CA 94611
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in pediatric patient conditions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products as ordered.
• Operate and monitor critical care equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Educate and support patients’ families throughout the course of treatment.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California).
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
• Critical care nursing experience.
• Strong pediatric assessment and emergency response skills.

Preferences:

• Maternal Child Health nursing experience.
• Experience in a high-acuity pediatric critical care setting.
