Title: Cardiac/Telemetry RN

Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Full-Time
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-Call: None
Patient Ratio: 5:1 to 6:1 (depending on staffing)
Unit Type: Cardiac/Telemetry (Not a Step-Down Unit)
Temp-to-Perm: Possible

Required Certifications & License

• Current RN License (state of employment or compact)

• BLS certification from AHA

• ACLS certification from AHA

Experience Required

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred

• Experience in Cardiac/Telemetry settings preferred

Education

• BSN preferred

Patient Population

• Adult patients requiring Cardiac and Telemetry monitoring

• This is a Med-Surg/Telemetry environment, not an ICU or Step-Down unit

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation

• Administer medications and treatments

• Monitor patient response and document care

• Educate patients and families

• Delegate appropriately and manage patient assignments independently

• Handle routine and complex patient care situations

Orientation/Onboarding

• New hires attend RN orientation within the first 30 days

• Unit-specific competency validation required

• Annual competency requirements must be completed

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong Cardiac/Telemetry RN background

• Comfortable with a 5–6 patient ratio

• Holds active BLS and ACLS (AHA)

• Able to work every other weekend

• Interested in potential temp-to-perm opportunities
